KUALA LUMPUR - The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) received recognition from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) when awarded the AFC Pro Level Convention Coaching.

The award was presented by AFC president Shaikh Salman Ebrahim Al Khalifa to FAM president Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin at the AFC Technical Recognition Awards ceremony in Doha, Qatar in conjunction with the AFC Annual Awards.

Hamidin said the recognition for Pro Diploma level coaching would serve as an inspiration to those in the Technical and Coaching Department and all FAM administration staff to develop the country’s football.

"The recognition plays an important role in assisting the FAM to raise the bar and quality of coaching education throughout the country,” he said in a statement.

Apart from FAM, similar recognition were also awarded to the Football Association of Bangladesh, China, India, Jordan, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. - BERNAMA
