Shahidan, Annuar appointed as Central Pas committee members

SHAH ALAM - Former Umno leaders Datuk Seri Dr Shahidan Kassim and Tan Sri Annuar Musa are among those appointed to become Central Pas committee members in the party works committee meeting on Monday.

Pas secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said the appointment was proposed and agreed based on Article 25 and 26 of the party constitution.

“The other members appointed included Nasrudin Hassan, Mohd Yusni Mat Piah, Wan Rohimi Wan daud, Mohd Zuhdi Marzuki, Datuk Dr Nik Muhammad Zawawi Salleh, Datuk Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi and Dr Mohd Mazri Yahya.

“The Assistant Secretary-Generals 1,2 and 3 are held by Khairul Faizi Ahmad Kamil, Khairul Fahmi Matsom and Mohd Syahir Che Sulaiman respectively,” he said in a statement on Monday.

The media in December 2022 reported Annuar and Shahidan were among the Umno leaderships sacked of their membership in the party Supreme Council meeting.

On June 10, Annuar who was also the former Umno secretary-general officially became a Pas member after he submitted his membership certificate in conjunction with the Perikatan Nasional (PN) Ceramah Perdana in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan.

Shahidan who was a former Umno Supreme Council member contested under the PN ticket in the 15th general election (GE15) and defended the Arau Parliament seat.

Takiyuddin added the Pas State and Federal Territory Commissioner lineup comprised of Mohd Shukri Ramli (Perlis), Datuk Ahmad Saad@Yahaya (Kedah), Datuk Ahmad Yaakob (Kelantan), Datuk Husain Awang (Terengganu) and Muhammad Fauzi Yusoff (Penang).

The rest were followed by Razman Zakaria (Perak), Rosli Abdul Jabar (Pahang), Datuk Dr Ab Halim Tamuri (Selangor), Azhar Yahaya (Wilayah Persekutuan), Rafiei Mustapha (Negeri Sembilan), Zulkifli Ismail (Melaka), Abdullah Husin (Johor), Dr Aliakbar Gulasan (Sabah) and Jofri Jaraiee (Sarawak).
