Pas to protest if motion not accepted in Dewan Rakyat - Afnan Hamimi
KUALA LUMPUR - Pas would push for a protest if the motion to debate the Palestine issue in the Dewan Rakyat is not approved.
Newly-elected Pas Youth chief, Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden said Perikatan Nasional (PN) Members of Parliament are hoping that the motion will be accepted.
"When the Parliament session convenes on Monday, we will attempt to propose a motion to debate the Palestine issue in the Dewan Rakyat.
"If it's not accepted we would push for a protest," he told reporters here today after the Pas Palestine Solidarity 10K rally here.
Afnan said he felt it was important to bring forth the motion as recent developments of the Israel attacks on Palestinians have been concerning.

Afnan said that the Dewan Rakyat must be firm in showing its solidarity with Palestine.
"We hope that Israel will be condemned in the Dewan Rakyat," he said.
Earlier today, thousands of participants of the 'Pas10K Solidarity Palestine' marched from the KLCC Mosque to United States (US) Embassy here today to condemn the brutality of the Israel regime, which is backed by the United States.
