Three killed in Israeli strike near West Bank refugee camp - Palestinian media
JERUSALEM - Three people were killed and several others wounded in an Israeli strike near the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank, Palestinian media reported Wednesday.
"An Israeli plane fired at least two missiles towards a group of people near Jenin camp," killing three people and wounding several others, the WAFA report said, citing local sources.
The Israeli military said in a statement that it had carried out "counterterrorism activities" in the area, but did not mention casualties.
It said it was responding to an attack from what it called "armed terrorists", who "fired and hurled explosive devices at Israeli security forces".
In response, it said, one of its attack drones had "struck the terrorists. Hits were identified."
"No injuries to Israeli security forces were reported." - AFP
