Heavy rain, strong winds cause a five-metre tree to fall on car in Kluang
SHAH ALAM - Severe rainfall and strong winds led to a five-meter tall tree collapsing onto a car along Jalan 1/4 in Taman Sri Kluang on Tuesday (Oct 24).
The Kluang Fire and Rescue Department's station operation chief Jusoh Mohd Salleh that they received the distress call about the incident at 3.59pm.
They promptly dispatched one Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) and one Emergency Medical Rescue Service (EMRS) with a team of eight firefighters to the location, he said.
"Upon arrival, we discovered a fallen tree had collided with a car.
"However, details about the driver remain unknown as bystanders had already transported the victim to a hospital before our arrival," he said on Tuesday.
Jusoh went on to explain that the firefighters utilized a chainsaw to remove the tree and clear the road, ensuring the safety of other commuters.
The operation concluded at 4.16pm.
