SHAH ALAM – A video showing a McDonald's outlet in Chicago serving burgers wrapped in blue and white packaging, resembling the Israeli flag, has gone viral on social media.

Instagram user @ezzat_experience had uploaded the video on Oct 22, which has since gained 34.2 thousand likes and two thousand comments.

“Do you still have any doubt? Okay after this video, if you still have doubt, it means you don’t want to hear. Share and let others know,”he captioned the video.

The video also shows the customer confronting McDonald's staff about the packaging.

She also challenged an employee who claimed that these wrappers had been in use for several months.

"This is in support of killing Palestinian kids, this wrapping. Clearly, this is a big company. They should not be changing the wrapping on this side.

"I'm just really upset to get an order with this wrapping. McDonald's changed their packaging. Wow, what does this resemble?,” the customer said.

The current Israeli genocidal attacks on Palestine, has posed a significant challenge for the fast food chain in predominantly Muslim countries. In these nations, owners have been diligent in distancing themselves from allegations of having ties to the Israeli military operations in Gaza.

On Oct 16, McDonald's Malaysia came out with a statement, saying that it remains a company that continues to strive to contribute to the community by expanding its community programmes every year.
