Prepared and poised: Breast cancer survivor Dr Aiesha ready for Nabba Universe in UK
SHAH ALAM - Two-time breast cancer survivor Dr Aiesha Asmadi has redefined resilience in the bodybuilding world.
After overcoming breast cancer twice, she has emerged not only as a survivor but also as a formidable force in bodybuilding.
Dr Aiesha's journey into the sport involved both mental and physical transformation.
In an interview with Sinar Daily, Dr Aiesha, who is also a medical fitness consultant, conveyed her enthusiasm for the forthcoming Nabba Universe 2023.
"I participated last year and secured third place, behind England and France.
"I aim for an even better placement this year," she said.
Dr Aiesha said that her main strategy this time is to keep her body healthy and optimum.
"My preparation has been more structured, making this year distinct.
"My focus is on maintaining a healthy and optimal body.
"The past three months have seen rigorous preparation, extending beyond just training," she said, stressing her strategy.
Dr Aiesha, alongside 10-time Mr Universe, Sazali Samad, is gearing up for the Nabba Universe 2023, scheduled for Oct 28 in the United Kingdom.
