"Let those who love justice raise their voices as one to condemn the genocide that is happening in Palestine as we speak.

"Call for an immediate ceasefire. Innocent children are being killed, so that is why to me, this is should be our collective message," she told reporters after the Freedom for Palestine rally at Dataran Merdeka here today.

Nurul Izzah who is also the former Member of Parliament for Permatang Pauh, also thanked the media for being a part of this effort.

She said that the government is certainly working on this matter, based on statements issued by Wisma Putra, including the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

"What's important is that all the moral voices of our people unite to combat the cruelty and oppression of the Zionist regime," she said.

Meanwhile, Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil said this is not just an issue facing Muslims; what's happening is that even churches in Palestine are being bombed.

He added that the tragedy in Palestine knows no religion, and everyone is a victim.
