SHAH ALAM - In the midst of Israel’s ongoing genocidal attacks on Palestine, Yayasan Warisan Ummah Ikhlas (WUIF) organises #QuranHour For Gaza: Global Humanity, a self-reflection programme for the public to engage in.

The one-hour programme was held at the Karangkraf Complex, here, today.

WUIF chief executive officer Marhaini Yusoff said the programme organised in collaboration with the MyAqsa Defenders, was based on the values of humanity guided by the solutions found in Surah Al-Insan and the seven Surah Musabbihat.

She emphasised that the struggle in Gaza or beyond Gaza was not about seeking revenge but about the promise of victory mentioned in Surah Al-Isra' verses four to six.

“Today, humanity has lost its value due to its darkened soul.

“Surah Al-Insan provides guidance for humanity to reset.

“In the Palestinian issue, they believe in Allah's promise and the key to victory, based on Surah Ar-Rum, which is patience.

“Patience doesn't mean silence; rather, it involves building strength for oneself, one's family, one's nation and the entire ummah worldwide,” she said.

She added that the #QuranHour For Gaza was a spark, a prayer, a collective commitment to unity and a reaffirmation to strengthen oneself with knowledge with the guidance of the Quran for victory, science and technology, prayer, for character reinforcement and charity as a symbol of unity for the global ummah.

This, she said was the way of life for Muslims.

“They want to be a part of the victory promised by Allah in the Quran and people are encouraged to understand their role outside of Gaza to gain guidance and strength for themselves, their families, organisations and their nations to restore humanity, guided by Surah Al-Insan.

“As Muslims, it is crucial to believe in every promise of Allah in the Quran and continue to act upon them as the duty of grateful servants.

“Remaining patient and enduring all of Allah's decrees while improving and strengthening one's character through the Quran, prayer, charity and supplication is the path of grateful servants,” she said.

Meanwhile, WUIF founder Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub said the programme provided an emotional approach to what was happening in Palestine.

He raised the question of why Allah allowed these things to happen, indicating that if there was no humanity within people's hearts, then cruelty was carried out by those with dark hearts.

He noted that what was happening in Palestine was mirrored in other countries like India and Myanmar, where Muslims were being oppressed due to the absence of humanity.

“Despite various demonstrations and donations to help the Palestinian people, they do not have a long-term impact, as Palestine continues to be destroyed by the Zionist regime that lacks humanity,” he said.

He emphasised the need to instill Surah Al-Insan in people's hearts and prepare the younger generation to stand up against Israel.

He said Gaza and Israel exist within individuals, families, organisations and nations adding that Israel symbolised luxury, technology and greed.

The issue of saving Palestine was not about seeking revenge but achieving victory, he said.

“People need to save their humanity, especially family leaders. Therefore, they must return to the Quran as a solution for life.

“By engaging in self-reflection, they aim to build a strong populace to establish a strong government led by individuals with virtuous values who adhere to the Quran and Hadith,” he said.

The #QuranHour For Gaza programme today was attended by Palestinian Qari and Imam Shaykh Rami As-Sousi, WUIF chief research officer Fazrul Ismail, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) Faculty of Quran and Sunnah Studies Deputy Dean Dr Ahmad Sanusi Azmi and MyAqsa Defenders Regional Muslim Member chairman Mohd Hakim Mohd Nor.

The programme was concluded with a prayer led by USIM lecturer Mohd Shamsul Hakim Abd Samad.
