Former PM Sharif arrives in Pakistan, ending four years of self-imposed exile

ISLAMABAD - Three-time Pakistani prime minister Nawaz Sharif landed in IsIamabad on Saturday, ending four years of self-imposed exile, reported German press agency (dpa).

The 73-year-old arrived on a charter flight from Dubai carrying party workers and journalists.

Sharif is having a meeting with his legal team at the airport to fulfill formalities in connection with a protective bail he secured on Thursday.

After the brief stopover, Sharif will fly to Lahore where he is set to address supporters at a huge rally in the evening. - BERNAMA
