AMPANG - A woman's worst nightmare came true when she is kidnapped by her husband and his friend at an apartment at Jalan Ampang on Oct 12.

Ampang Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azam Ismail said a report was lodged by the 38-year-old victim who was the suspect's third wife at about 11.30pm.

"Investigation found that the incident happened when the victim was in the elevator of the apartment and was asked by two unknown individuals to meet her husband who is a tahfiz centre manager.

"The victim then agreed and met her husband before being taken away by the suspects in a car," he said in a statement today.

He said the victim has been taken to a homestay in Pasir Puteh, Kelantan.

"The victim claimed that she was forced to follow her husband against her will and was locked in the homestay before successfully escaping on Oct 13 at about 12.30am.

"The victim went to the police station with the help of nearby villagers to lodge a report," he said.

Azam said the investigation led to the arrest of two individuals at Taman Ampang Mewah on Thursday.
