Pas initiates donation of funds for Pas Muslimat representatives killed in accident
SHAH ALAM – Pas has initiated a donation of funds for the Pas Muslimat (women's wing) representatives from Sungai Petani, Kedah, who tragically lost their lives in a road accident yesterday.
This was revealed by Pas deputy permanent chairman Kamal Ashaari during his address at 69th Pas Muktamar here today at Ideal Convention Centre, Shah Alam.
Yesterday, Pas deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said the deceased were from the party’s Sungai Petani division women’s wing, namely its chief Taibah Sulaiman, youth chief Fatihah Nabilah and deputy secretary-general Najihah Amzi.
The accident occurred in Behrang, Perak, while they were returning to Sungai Petani after attending the Muktamar.
They left the Muktamar in Shah Alam after listening to Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang’s speech yesterday morning.
The Pas Muktamar, which started Thursday and ends on Sunday (Oct 22), saw former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad make his first appearance at the Islamic party’s annual general assembly.
