Kelantan express solidarity with Palestine, contributes RM100,000 to kickstart aid campaign

SHAH ALAM – The Kelantan state government contributes RM100,000 to kickstart a humanitarian aid campaign to show its solidarity with the Palestinians.

The contribution emphasises Kelantan's unwavering commitment to supporting humanitarian efforts in Palestine.

This has been expressed by Kelantan Islamic Development, Dakwah, Information and Regional Relations committee chairman Mohd Asri Mat Daud, who said that the Kelantan state government had established the ‘Tabung Serambi Mekah’ to encourage donations from Kelantanese.

“In a demonstration of compassion and solidarity with the Palestinians, Kelantan has contributed significantly to humanitarian efforts.

“In fact, I want to disclose that Kelantan has allocated a substantial sum of RM 3.6 million to support various humanitarian initiatives in Palestine during 2021,” Asri added.

He further said that this initiative represented a model of charitable contributions in the state of Kelantan, illustrating the commitment of the government and its citizens to the principles of benevolence and humanitarian assistance.

“The support and actions taken by the government have found a special place in the hearts of the Kelantanese, who appreciate the government's dedication to fulfilling its responsibilities as a compassionate administration,” he added.
