SHAH ALAM - Pas has taken a proactive approach by conducting a post-mortem to assess areas for improvement that require sustained enhancement.

Pas President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang revealed this in his inaugural speech at the 69th Pas Muktamar at the Ideal Convention Centre today.

The Marang MP added that the party faces a huge challenge in attracting support from non-Muslim voters.

“Despite a remarkable increase in parliamentary seats, we still do not have enough to form a government,” he stressed.

However, Hadi expressed his gratitude for Pas members' ability to maintain young voters' support.

“Other strengths include the effective utilisation of social media for outreach, strong performance in state governance, a clean and corruption-free image, an increase in membership and branch network, the readiness of their election machinery, and the high quality of candidates presented,” he said.

Pas’s commitment to self-assessment and continuous improvement showcases its dedication to serving the interests of the Malaysian people and the nation.

In his speech, Hadi also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the voters and benefactors who have entrusted the party and the Perikatan Nasional (PN) with their support.
