KUALA LUMPUR - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim revealed during the 2024 Budget announcement that Muhammad Aqil Naufal Zahiran, an 11-year-old boy from Felda Lepar Utara National School, who gained fame for displaying sportsmanship despite his disabilities, has achieved his dream of playing football.

Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, said that Aqil Naufal received government assistance and encouragement from the Malaysian Disabled Football Association (MAFA).

"Everyone has undoubtedly heard the motivational story of Aqil Naufal's sportsmanship, despite his disabilities," Anwar said in the Dewan Rakyat today.
