Water supply in Selangor to fully recover by midnight

SHAH ALAM - The water supply is expected to fully recover on Thursday as the supplies in the affected areas have reached 72.8 per cent.

Air Selangor through a statement said the water supply will be received in stages and it was expected to be fully restored by midnight (Thursday).

"As of 9am the recovery status of the water supply in the affected areas has reached 72.8 per cent.

"Water supply is still expected to fully recover at midnight on Oct 12 (Thursday)," it said.

However there were some areas that have not recovered yet namely Kuala Selangor (Bukit Kerayong, Jeram Estate, Jeram), Shah Alam (Seksyen 15, Seksyen 12-Kampung Kebun Bunga, Seksyen 29, Seksyen 30, Seksyen 32, Seksyen 34, Seksyen 35, Taman Kandis Permai, Taman Sentosa-Jalan Hulubalang, Taman Subang Mas).

For Klang, the places that have not recovered yet were Armada Putera, Bandar Baru Bukit Raja, Bandar Putera 2, Bukit Kapar, Jalan Samarinda, Kampung Cherakah, Kampung Johan Setia, Kampung Kastam, Kampung Raja Uda, Kampung Teluk Gong, Kampung Pulau Indah, Meru, Perindustrian Pulau Indah Fasa 1, Taman Klang Jaya, Taman Sentosa, Taman Sri Andalas, Westport.

"Air Selangor would like to advise consumers who have and will receive their water supply to let the tap flow until the water is clear before using.

"Air Selangor hopes that consumers who have received water supply will use water prudently to ensure that the recovery process in the affected areas ran smoothly," it said.
