90 tourism events lined up throughout Visit Perak Year 2024 - MB
IPOH - Perak will hold 90 tourism events at state and district levels with the tagline 'Promising Perak’ in conjunction with its Visit Perak Year (TMP) 2024.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad said this is in preparation for Perak to receive domestic and foreign tourists throughout next year.
"In addition, upgrading work at tourist locations and promotional activities are being actively carried out to attract more visitors to the state.
"Various activities will be held before and during the TMP 2024, with several initiatives and promotional activities set to be offered, such as the rail tourism special package, special advertisement in Media Prima and Perak FM as well as on TikTok,” he said at the launch of the Perak Internal Wrapping electric train service (ETS) in conjunction with the TMP 2024 today.
Saarani's speech was read out by state Corridor of Tourism, Industry, Investment and Development Committee chairman Loh Sze Yee.
He added that the special advertisement in conjunction with TMP 2024 would be implemented for 18 months from October until January 2025, which will highlight differences through six main themes, namely heritage, food, nature, entertainment and family as well as handicrafts found in the state.
"These themes were chosen to provide an experience of feeling the atmosphere as if they are in Perak itself.
"My wish is that all these efforts will have a good impact on the economic development of Perak, in particular, and the country, in general, and I call on all Malaysians to travel to the state," he said.
Meanwhile, Tourism Perak Management Berhad said in a statement that the implementation of the Internal Wrapping ETS by Tourism Perak involves advertising within the ETS and highlighting the six main themes by featuring more vibrant colour elements to attract the interest of ETS passengers.
In addition, a scanner code or QR code is also provided to facilitate users to directly obtain tourism information in Perak through their respective smart devices.
The public can obtain more information on the implementation of the programmes by visiting Tourism Perak's official social media platform on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok or by accessing Tourism Perak's website at http://tourismperakmalaysia.com. - BERNAMA
