Rasuah Busters, MBI organise Integrity Hub Training in line with SDG
AISYAH BASARUDDINSHAH ALAM - Rasuah Busters in collaboration with Menteri Besar Selangor Incorporated (MBI) organised the Integrity Hub Training to achieve good governance for several owned subsidiaries as well as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
Yayasan Sinar Untuk Malaysia (Rasuah Busters) chief executive officer (CEO) Norhayati Nordin said that the 16th SDG indicators – peace, justice and strong institutions – were important elements developed to maintain integrity and achieve anti-corruption.
She said the event with 48 participants among staff members was a good start for an institution to carry out its duty in the development and progress of the state.
"Selangor MBI is deploying manpower of all staff from several subsidiaries under it.
"The feedback we received through a sharing today was very positive. We included various physical, emotional, spiritual and intellectual aspects in maneuvering good governance with integrity and that is anti-corruption," Norhayati said.
Other two invited panelists were Warisan Ummah Ikhlas Foundation (WUIF) chief research officer Fazrul Ismail and seasoned trainer Mohd Zikrul Hakim Noor better known as Coachakim who conducted an introductory session on integrity, governance and anti-corruption.
Among the subsidiaries present were Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad (PNSB), KDEB Waste Management (KDEBWM), Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Bhd (KPSB) and Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor).
Also present were Kumpulan Hartanah Selangor Berhad, SSDU Innovation Sdn Bhd, Koridor Utiliti Selangor Sdn Bhd, Wanita Berdawa Selangor (WBS) and KDEB ICI Sdn Bhd.
Meanwhile, MBI Governance Division chief Anas Sulaiman said that his team was committed to plan several annual programmes under the Audit, Risk Management and Integrity Committee (Jari).
He added that the event which was the first of four series in total was able to spark a clear awareness and understanding among participants to share with families, communities and companies.
"I hope that perhaps after this, MBI and Rasuah Busters can uncover the content in Corruption Risk Management (CRM) and discuss current issues related to the matter.
"Participation from subsidiaries was also commendable as they voluntarily wanted to work together towards a corruption-free culture," he shared.
