Cub Prix racer involved in accident, wife requests prayers from Malaysians
SHAH ALAM - National racer Md Izzat Zaidi was involved in an accident during the superpole session at the Cub Prix Malaysia race at the Medini Iskandar City Circuit in Johor yesterday.
The news was shared by his wife through social media, seeking Malaysians' prayers for her husband's recovery.
Md Izzat was a racer from the CKJ Racing Team.
"Assalamualaikum, I am the wife of Md Izzat Zaidi, and I would like to request your prayers for a miracle and recovery for my husband.
"On Oct 8, Izzat underwent surgery due to multiple injuries to his lungs and some broken ribs.
"Izzat is currently dependent on a respiratory assistance machine and is placed in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) at Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor Bahru.
"His condition is very critical. May Allah ease his affairs and heal him of all his illnesses. Amin - Wife," wrote Izzat's wife, known as Elyshanorizal.
Meanwhile, the CKJ team confirmed that Md Izzat had the accident after the Yamaha machine he was riding during the Super-Pole CP150 session collided with a road barrier and veered off into the safety fence placed at the side of the circuit.
