BENTONG - A commotion erupted at Perikatan Nasional (PN) ceramah in Simpang Pelangai when a group of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's supporters staged a flash mob yesterday.

Carrying a placard saying 'Ingat Jasa Najib' (remember Najib's contributions), the group showed up around the same time former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was about to depart after delivering a speech at the ceramah attended by over 1,000 people.

The actions of the group of youths caused dissatisfaction among PN supporters and almost incited provocation.

However, the commotion did not escalate further as the police quickly intervened and instructed both groups to disperse.

The final ceramah witnessed Dr Mahathir alongside PN leaders, including PN chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

The programme also saw a larger presence of supporters compared to other ceramah held throughout this by-election campaign.
