Traffic police risk lives to save driver in partially submerged car
KUALA LUMPUR – Policemen from the Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department (TEID) risks their lives to save a victim whose car partially submerged in flood at a tunnel in Jalan Chan Sow Lin today.
Federal police TEID acting director Datuk Mohd Nasri Omar said the incident took place during the heavy rain at about 6pm.
He said three members of TEID Kuala Lumpur who were monitoring the flooded area saw the victim's car trapped in the location.
"The quick action of the three officers helped to extricate the 27-year-old victim from the car.
"The victim was rescued and no injuries were reported," he told Sinar.
The policemen were Corporal Syed Syafiq Syed Salim, Lance Corporal Shahril Kamaruzaman and Lance Corporal Muhammad Afizul Ismail.
Nasri congratulated the three personnel involved who risked their lives to help the victim during an emergency.
