Takaful Ikhlas launches secure travel plan
KEPALA BATAS - Takaful Ikhlas General Berhad (Takaful Ikhlas), a wholly-owned subsidiary of MNRB Holdings Berhad, aims to generate RM10 million in sales this year with its newly launched product Ikhlas Secure Travel Takaful.
The travel takaful plan was launched by Penang Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak at the Takaful Ikhlas exhibition space at the 2023 Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia Carnival at Setia Fontaines in Bertam yesterday.
Takaful Ikhlas president and chief executive officer Datuk Rudy Rodzila Che Lamin said the plan is offered at prices ranging from RM25 to RM100, with up to RM1 million coverage.
"This plan is for those who enjoy travelling within and outside the country. We conducted a detailed study before providing this takaful service so that it can cover all aspects of safety, medical coverage and losses.
"So, if an accident or illness occurs while travelling, all costs will be covered by Takaful Ikhlas,” he told Bernama.
Rudy Rodzila explained that the new product was designed so that the public can enjoy their vacations with peace of mind, adding that Takaful Ikhlas has partnered with travel and medical networks worldwide to ensure that customers are always protected.
He said the plan also offers coverage for group travels, such as haj and umrah pilgrims who subscribe to this takaful plan with leading medical networks in Makkah and Madinah.
"The Ikhlas Secure Travel Takaful offers customers comprehensive benefits, including coverage for trip cancellation or inconvenience, loss of baggage, medical emergencies, badal haj (haj by proxy) and 24-hour travel and health assistance and air ambulance services,” he said.
Rudy Rodzila said that adventure enthusiasts can also obtain additional coverage with additional contributions.
"We hope the public will be more aware of the importance of travel takaful protection when planning their vacations. It should not be taken lightly because the risk of unforeseen events occurring during holidays is always present,” he said.
