SHAH ALAM - Consumers in Petaling, Kuala Lumpur and Hulu Langat who will be affected by a scheduled water supply disruption on Oct 10 are urged to make preliminary preparations, including saving up sufficient water supply.

State Infrastructure and Agriculture exco Izham Hashim said the disruption will begin at 9am following the closure of Sungai Langat Water Treatment Plant (LRA) for maintenance and improvement work.

"Affected residents are kindly asked to make early preparations. Save enough water," Izham wrote on Facebook.

Consumers can refer to the list of affected areas on Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd's (Air Selangor) official social media page.

Air Selangor had earlier informed that the asset improvement and maintenance work at Sungai Langat LRA is expected to be completed at 7pm on Oct 10, with the water supply fully restored by 12am on Oct 12.

In the meantime, water tankers will be deployed to the affected areas, prioritising critical premises such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres and funerals.
