Man with mental health issues found dead near drain
GOMBAK - A body of a man was found by the drain leading to the exit of Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) near here on Tuesday.
Gombak district Police Acting Chief Superintendent Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir said he received the report informing of the find at 4.31pm.
He said early investigations found the deceased to be a local 63-year-old man with mental health issues.
“The process of identifying the body was done by the man's biological child at the scene.
“The child confirmed it was the father who was suffering from mental health issues.
“Physical checks found no injuries on the deceased’s body,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.
He said the body was sent to the Selayang Hospital Forensic Department for an autopsy.
Ariffin said the case was classified as a sudden death report (SDR).
