SHAH ALAM - A video clip of a family walking to the entrance of Univesiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) during the registration day on Saturday has gone viral.

The recording touched the hearts of many, as the family had travelled from Sarawak and taken a bus as an alternative to Pahang.

“From afar, we saw a family walking under the scorching heat of the sun, thinking that their vehicle had broken down. It was a sad sight as they walked in the heat while others were in vehicles.

“When asked, they said they were there from Sarawak and had taken the bus to send off their daughter to UMPSA,” the institute's account user said.

The video showed university staff finding a vehicle to help the family carry their luggage onto campus.

“Representatives from UMPSA scrambled to find a vehicle for the family to enter the campus area.

“This is truly a show of parents' love to accompany their child to the university despite challenges,” it said.

The comments section was filled with netizens who were touched by the actions of the family travelling in the heat to send off their child to the university.
