Pelangai by-election: Strategies in place to help people amid food item price hike - Amizar
SHAH ALAM -With the Pelangai State Assembly by-election around the corner, cost of living and price hike issues relating to rice, onions, and even bread have been a hot topic of late.
Pelangai State Assembly BN candidate Datuk Amizar Abu Adam, in an interview with Sinar, was quoted as saying that despite the increase due to high demands, there were promotions to develop farming and agriculture for the state.
“Regarding the cost of goods, it’s subjective. There’s an increase, but we must understand that demands after Covid-19 with high demand and a lack of products, will surely increase.
“We are promoting in Pahang to develop agricultural entrepreneurs, as announced by the state's Menteri Besar on the establishment of the state's Durian Board.
“We are also working with young entrepreneurs to develop farms and agriculture sectors in the state; that’s what I see.
“This is currently happening all around the country and the world, but I’m sure the state government has a solution by focusing on special products for the public,” he said.
On the question of what could be implemented for the youth, he said the 3P (placement, income, and employment) practices were in place.
“For the youth, we will practice the 3P, as with the three elements I constantly speak on for the youth, as their mindset was to simply have money and it would be sufficient and there were no issues.
“That is what we must stress for the youth generation today,” he said.
