MACC to call Radzi to assist investigation
KUALA LUMPUR - The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will call former senior education minister Datuk Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin to assist in investigations into a book printing project worth around RM80 million.
MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki when contacted confirmed the matter and said the anti-graft agency was in the midst of carrying out further investigation into the case.
“There’s a large possibility (to call Radzi), but not now,” he said, today.
MACC deputy chief commissioner (operations) Datuk Seri Ahmad Khusairi Yahaya confirmed the arrest of two individuals including a political secretary to the former senior minister.
They were arrested at 11pm after having their statements recorded at the MACC office in Putrajaya before Putrajaya magistrate's court Registrar Nur Adilah Halid allowed the commission's application to remand both individuals for four days.
Previously, Radzi in a statement denied being involved in a corruption case involving J-Qaf books printing for pre-school through direct negotiation amounting RM80 million.
