42 emergency buttons in eight major public parks across KL

KUALA LUMPUR - A total of 42 emergency or panic buttons has been provided in eight main public parks around Kuala Lumpur.

This is an effort by the local authorities to improve the safety of citizens when they are out and about in public parks in the city.

The news was shared by the Federal Territories Department on Facebook today.

A total of six emergency buttons were placed in Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, Taman Botani Perdana, Taman Tasik Permaisuri, Taman Tasik Metropolitan Kepong and Taman Metropolitan Batu.

"Meanwhile, four emergency buttons have alsl been provided at Taman Tasik Ampang Hilir, Taman Tasik Datuk Keramat and Taman Tasik Manjalara," the page shared.

The panic button is an additional safety equipment apart from the existing surveillance system in public parks around the city.
