Noor Nabila and Engku Emran headed for divorce

Neelofa's older sister Noor Nabila Mohd Noor has unveiled that she and Engku Emran Engku Zainal Abidin are calling it quits on their marriage.

The businesswoman said they are in the midst of finalising their divorce and have lived separately since January after he expressed his desire to end the relationship.

"When he told me that he wanted to get a divorce, we talked through it and made our decisions calmly," she said in a media report.

Keeping mum on the cause of their marital problems, Nabila said that she had done her best in spite of their decision to part ways.

"I had done my best throughout this marriage. However, as humans, we cannot run away from the trials and tribulations of a marriage.

"As husband and wife, we should make sacrifices for each other and always be there for each other in any situation. Unfortunately, we are not able to be that kind of couple. Nobody goes into marriage with the aim of getting divorced.

"The problem between us had been ongoing for a long time so I leave it to fate. I believe that this is what He had planned for myself and my son," she said.

Nabila and Emran tied the knot on March 19, 2021. Previously, Engku Emran was married to Indonesian actress Laudya Cynthia Bella for two years.

Prior to that, Emran was married to popular actress Erra Fazira from Oct 25, 2007 to Feb 18, 2014 and they were blessed with a daughter, Engku Aleesya.

Meanwhile, Nabila was previously married to Sharnaaz on March 31, 2017 and separated on July 9, 2020. From that marriage, they share a son, Jebat Jayden. - AWANI
