SHAH ALAM - A man believed to be the father of the Indonesian influencer, Desta Restu Amanda or better known as Mondy Tattoo, has apologised for his daughter's alleged false accusations against the famous Islamic preacher Ebit Lew for money.

The apology was made via a live broadcast on the TikTok app with Indonesian Islamic preacher, Derry Sulaiman on Tuesday.

"I apologise to Ustaz Ebit Lew for Mondy's behaviour. Please remind her (Mondy) who actually helped this family.

"As someone who is not very knowledgeable, I couldn't advise Mondy... I apologise for Mondy's actions.

"Perhaps she was stressed or used by irresponsible people," he said with a tone of remorse and sadness.

During the live broadcast, the man also claimed that an individual known as Caprice, a singer and humanitarian activist, along with his wife Farra Elis, brought his daughter to Malaysia without his permission.

"The first time Mondy went to Malaysia, I asked her to give me someone's number so that I could contact her, but I couldn't.

"So who could I communicate with? I'm even more confused because there is no way to ask for Ustaz's (Derry Sulaiman) number here," he explained.

The man also admitted that it was quite challenging to control Mondy, and he didn't know how to advise her.

"I can only pray for my daughter, Mondy. I hope she is well there," he said.

Recently, a video podcast recording featuring Caprice and Mondy went viral on social media, where Mondy claimed to be a victim of sexual harassment by Ebit.

On Monday, Ebit Lew filed a police report in response to the defamation allegations made against him during a special podcast program hosted by Caprice.
