SHAH ALAM - Putrajaya Member of Parliament Datuk Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin slammed Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's statement which allegedly accused him during the wrapping up debate on the 12th Malaysia Plan in the Dewan Rakyat, on Tuesday.

Radzi, who was the former Education Senior Minister said that after hearing Anwar's statement, he only wanted to defend his dignity and described it as ‘taboos with dishonest people’.

"So, when I heard this, I abstain from people who do not speak the truth and will defend my dignity.

"In this world, I am not afraid of anyone except Allah SWT.

"This is why I stood up and defend my dignity, asking that Anwar take back his accusations against me," he said in a two-minute, 58-second video on Facebook.

Previously, the Dewan Rakyat was in an uproar when Radzi stood up and asked the Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul to order the Tambun Member of Parliament to retract a statement that was alleged to be a malicious accusation against him.

Anwar when responding to the decision to discharge not amounting to acquittal (DNAA) Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi also touched on Putrajaya having done the same thing during the previous administration by referring to Siti Aisyah who was released without acquittal from the charge of killing North Korean citizen, Kim Jong-Nam, after the prosecutor dropped prosecution against him, in March 2019.

Radzi claimed that Anwar had distorted the statement by saying that he did not mean the Putrajaya Member of Parliament, but rather the previous government.
