KUANTAN - Pas Pahang deputy commissioner Andansura Rabu has accused the Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition of adopting backward political attitudes and practices.

He said that the alleged restrictions imposed by BN on the opposition are not a democratic attitude, as proclaimed by PH.

"The Pelangai PH-BN by-election is not sporting (open minded)... political attitudes and practices are 20 years behind. Block that, block this.

"You can't use the hall, you can't use the field. When is this politics?" he asked in a statement today.

He said that the alleged restrictions on using facilities are currently being applied to Pas and Perikatan Nasional (PN) in Pelangai.

He said that PN is not allowed to use any public facility and that there are locations that have already received permission and paid a deposit but it was cancelled.

He said that the cancellation was made due to an order from the superiors.

"Remember that when the reform of governance is proclaimed, the attitude and thinking of the government will be fairer and more mature.

"It looks like good news from the looks of it. It just sounds sweet on the lips. The provision for opposition representatives has been denied. Both at the state and federal levels," he said.

Andansura said that the community was also disappointed when they failed to get contributions from the people's representatives..

Andansura said that the opposition also faces pressure, including monitoring their speech and words, in addition to police reports and prosecution.

He said that Jengka assemblyman Shahril Azman Abd Halim was the latest victim.

"As far as I remember, the practice of blocking is an old style of politics. More than 20 years ago.

"Is that the thinking of the PH-BN administration? Fighting arguments, competing ideologies, methods and approaches. Young people say, be gentlemen la.

"Aren't these issues of injustice the core of PKR's (Parti Keadilan Rakyat) and DAP's struggle? Now that they are the government, what will happen to that struggle? Forget themselves? Reform? Now they are the ones who have become like Umno-BN before. In the blink of an eye you change," he said.

Andansura said that Pas or PN will not lose anything if they do not manage to win the Pelangai seat.

He said that the real burden is on PH-BN because that is why they are "dying, going all out to win."

"Do whatever, allow all the way. Block and press the opponent. As long we win," he said.
