PH is afraid of PN's influence, says Pas leader
SHAH ALAM - Pas Deputy President Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said Pakatan Harapan's (PH) attacks on Perikatan Nasional's (PN) 3R (race, religion and royal) stance show that PH is afraid of PN's growing influence.
Tuan Ibrahim said not all 3R issues are taboo and that Muslims, Chinese and Indians should be able to discuss the fate of their own nation.
"PH is actually worried about PN's growing influence. It has to be clear what can and cannot be raised. Not all religious issues cannot be discussed.
"If Muslims cannot discuss their religion, what will happen to the ummah's ignorance in Islam.
"Similarly, race issues are not all impossible. If the Malays, Chinese or Indians cannot discuss the fate of their own nation, who will fight for it?" he told Sinar.
He was responding to a claim by Bentong MP Young Syefura Othman that PN had allegedly started playing on 3R sentiments before the Pelangai state assembly campaign.
Tuan Ibrahim's comments come as voters prepares for the Pelangai state assembly by-election on Oct 7.
