Independent preacher Norhafizah's name dropped from programme due to complaints
PUTRAJAYA - Independent religious preacher Datuk Dr Nohafizah Musa's name has been dropped in the 'Muslimah Putrajaya Berselawat' programme allegedly following complaints.
Apparently there were complaints from certain parties questioning her involvement in the programme.
This was confirmed the Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) Department Director-General Hakimah Mohd Yusoff in a statement today.
According to her, the programme collaborator Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque (MTMZA), held discussions with the main organisers of the programme, and an agreement was reached to take this step to prevent any arising issues.
"Therefore, Norhafizah's name has been replaced with another figure," she stated.
The 'Muslimah Putrajaya Berselawat Programme' scheduled for yesterday, is organised by a non-governmental organisation in collaboration with MTMZA and is subject to a fee of RM30 per person.
Yesterday, Norhafizah claimed that her name was dropped on the orders of higher-ups.
She stated that this had happened many times before, but she had remained silent.
