SERDANG - A strange incident occurred in front of a shopping centre here last Monday when a food delivery rider damaged his motorcycle after being towed due to 34 months of unpaid loan fees.

Serdang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner AA Anbalagan said that the individual's actions were believed to have been recorded by the public at the scene before it went viral on social media.

"Initial investigations found that in the incident around 3.10pm when the individual kicked his motorcycle before handing it over to the vehicle tow agent.

"The incident occurred because the individual was dissatisfied as his motorcycle was towed after having arrears for 34 months," he said in a statement today.

He added that no investigation papers have been opened regarding the incident so far.

"A police report was filed by the vehicle tow agent on the same day at the Brickfields Police Station, Kuala Lumpur.

"No investigations have been conducted as it only involves reports related to the vehicle's towing," he said.
