Cristiano Ronaldo takes legal action against Juventus
SHAH ALAM - Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly decided to take legal action against Juventus over unpaid wages during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Portugal captain is demanding £17.15 million (RM99.5 million) as promised by the club when he agreed to defer his salary during lockdown.
Other Juventus players also agreed to defer their wage payments for up to four months during the pandemic to assist the financially struggling club.
The 38-year-old player, who is currently with the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr is seeking to claim the money and has requested relevant documents from the Turin Public Prosecutor's Office.
Ronaldo left Juventus in August 2021 to move to Manchester United before his contract with the club expired at the end of last season.
