Kindergarten students enliven Malaysia Day celebration
BUTTERWORTH - A total of 250 children from six branches of Khalifah Intelek (TKI) kindergarten participated in a picnic programme organised by the kindergarten to commemorate Malaysia Day, which falls tomorrow.
TKI chief executive officer Afirah Tul Abidah Taufik said that the activities carried out during the picnic included traditional games and singing of folk songs to expose the children, who are aged between four and six, to the various cultures and traditions found in the country.
"The kite flying and top spinning excite the children the most. They really had fun and enjoyed themselves," she told Bernama.
She said the programme was held in an open area by the beach to provide the children with a comfortable atmosphere and different from the daily kindergarten environment, in addition to bringing the children closer to nature
