Five men were injured, after truck crashed into a tree
RAUB - Five men were injured after a three-ton lorry they were riding in skidded off the road, and crashed into a tree, and fell into a riverbank on RTP Klau Road near here on Thursday.
Pahang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) public relations officer Zulfadli Zakaria, said the fire department received an emergency call about the incident at 2.30pm.
According to him, five members and two officers from the Raub Fire and Rescue Station, along with two fire engines, were dispatched to the scene.
"The operations commander reported an accident involving a lorry at the scene.
"There were two adult men inside the lorry, one whom was trapped, and three adult men, who were contract workers, were at the back of the lorry," he said in a statement on Thursday.
He stated that the team involved used rescue equipment to remove the trapped victims and assist the others.
"All victims were subsequently transported to Raub Hospital for further treatment," he said.
