Covid-19 management: I will attend - Wee
KUALA LUMPUR - Former transport minister Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong states he is prepared to attend and provide a statement for the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) for the Covid-19 Pandemic Management.
The Ayer Hitam MP explained he would answer to all matters submitted by the committee.
“No issues with the PAC. I will surely attend and give my statement on Sept 21.
“Ask what you want to ask. I will shed some light on it,” he said in a Facebook post on Thursday.
PAC chairman Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin in a press conference at the Parliament lobby on Thursday said the decision to call Wee were made after the three proceedings and considered the need to hold a fourth.
She said she needed the statement and clarification as Wee’s name was mentioned in the proceedings.
Ermieyati further stated the proceeding scheduled on Thursday would call on former health ministry secretary Datuk Seri Dr Chen Chaw Min.
