SHAH ALAM - A video posted on social media captured a friendly interaction between Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari and Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor, despite their differing political beliefs.

The video, posted on Instagram quickly went viral and garnered over 280,758 views and grabbed the attention of social media users. The same video was also circulated on other platforms.

In the video, Amirudin and Sanusi appeared genuinely pleased to see each other during their encounter, despite their opposing positions in the political spectrum and name callings especially during the months leading up to the previous state elections.

They exchanged friendly banter as Sanusi made his way to his seat, tapping Amirudin on the right shoulder before taking his own seat.

The comment section garnered mixed reactions from netizens, with some expressing surprise and others considered such interactions as normal.

Instagram user @leenamohdtaib remarked that politicians tend to get along well with each other once they are outside the Dewan Rakyat.

"Both of them are good, once they are out of Dewan Rakyat, they greet each other. We are the ones who were fooled," she commented.

Another user, @sy_nasihatahalkhirid, considered such behaviour to be a professional act.
