SHAH ALAM - DAP has been urged to apologise to MCA for calling them "Umno's running dog" in the past.

MCA vice president Datuk Seri Ti Lian Ker said that DAP is currently playing victim by claiming to be insulted when it was called the same by Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (Muda) president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.

"DAP is now acting like they are a victim and feel humiliated when they are given a bad name.

"In asking Syed Saddiq to retract his statement, DAP should first apologise to MCA for the insults it had done over the years as an example to Syed Saddiq," he said in a statement today.

Lian Ker said that DAP's insults towards MCA have been going on for a long time, since the era of the first Prime Minister, the late Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj.

He added that DAP is currently making a U-turn by supporting Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, whom they had previously labeled with various bad titles such as "Indon" and "kleptocrat."

"Their attacks were also directed at Tan Sri Hadi Awang and Pas just like the previous attacks against Umno," he said.
