'Please stamp my passport' - Queen jokes with immigration officer
KUALA LUMPUR - The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah continued their Kembara Kenali Borneo today arriving at the Sungai Tujuh Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security (ICQS) post in Miri, Sarawak from Brunei 12.10pm.
The Kembara Kenali Borneo which entered its seventh day today, was brightened up by the royal couple's presence as seen during the immigration process before continuing their journey to Sarawak.
From the immigration control post, Their Majesties and the Kembara Kenali Borneo entourage continued their journey to Miri.
Through a post on the Istana Negara official social media page, Their Majesties were seen happily handing over their passports to an immigration officer while jokingly requested for the officer to stamp their passports.
The joke prompted laughter from those who were there.
Most of the comments shared by netizens expressed excitement about Their Majesties' appearance and conveyed well wishes for the King and Queen's wellbeing.
The Kembara Kenali Borneo, which took place from Sept 3 to 13, starting from Tawau, Sabah and ending in Telok Melano, Sarawak, is an exploration programme covering a distance of 2,154 kilometres along the Pan Borneo Highway, connecting Sabah, Sarawak and Brunei. - AWANI
