IPOH - Police are hunting for a man suspected of being involved in an armed robbery at a bank here, following the viral video of the incident today.

The 1-minute, 3-second closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage shows the suspect approaching two individuals conducting transactions at an automated teller machine (ATM) while brandishing a knife.

Ipoh District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Yahaya Hassan said investigations revealed that the incident occurred around 5.20 pm on May 14.

"A woman in her 50s suffered a loss of RM300 after being robbed by the suspect wearing a motorcycle helmet.

"So far, no injuries have been reported. Police are now conducting a special operation to track down the suspect," he said in a statement here today.

According to him, the case is being investigated under Sections 392/397 of the Penal Code.
