SHAH ALAM - "It's not true," says Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek on allegations that the ministry released five hadiths from Imam Nawawi's 40 Hadiths Appreciation Module.

She explained the ministry was in the process of finalising the hadiths, and any developments would be announced.

"I think we must give room to the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) to refine the issue to ensure it is successfully implemented for Muslims and religious schools," she said when met by reporters after the Sinar Harian Town Hall with the Education Minister here on Friday.

She said, commenting on the Malaysian Hindu Agamam Ani Association's Arun Dorasamy's statement that the ministry had released five hadiths.

Among those he claimed were released were the eight hadith involving Allah SWT’s orders to Rasulullah SAW to go at war with individuals who were yet to witness that there was no god other than Allah and Muhammad was Allah’s messenger until they accepted Islam, prayed, and paid their zakat.

When asked whether there was a possibility of the hadith being dropped, she stated that it was in the final stage of completion.

"We are finalising it," she said.

The hadith appreciation module was launched in August for the purpose of fostering the values of Rasulullah SAW’s words or hadiths in schools.

The module would be introduced in Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama (SKMA) and Sekolah Agama Bantuan Kerajaan (SABK) before it was launched in other public schools.
