Sanusi claims existence of 'invisible hand' in Zahid, Bung Moktar's cases
JOHOR BAHRU - Voters in the Pulai parliamentary and Simpang Jeram by-elections are urged to exercise their rights to vote tomorrow (Saturday) in order to end the failure of governance in the unity government.
The Perikatan Nasional (PN) elections director Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said this was important especially as it involved the decision of Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Kinabatangan MP Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin and his wife Datin Seri Zizie Izette A Samad's court cases which he claimed allegedly involved 'invisible hands' in the prosecution process.
"The Pulai and Simpang Jeram by-elections will be an indication whether voters can accept interference of 'invisible hands' in the prosecution of the cases since the courts earlier ruled that there were prima facie in the cases and they were even called to enter their defences.
"But suddenly there was an order to be for the cases to be dropped.
"The instruction of the 'invisible hands' not only wasted the time of the court and the investigation, but the people witnessed a sad episode in the governance of the Pakatan Harapan unity government," he said.
He said this in a video lasting six minutes and 37 seconds that was uploaded on his Facebook account on Thursday night.
The Kedah Menteri Besar said he now has an official assignment in Egypt to Kedah students studying in that country.
He further claimed that the unity government failed to regulate the price of rice due to the negligence of the minister who was given the responsibility of looking after the people's food sector.
"The unity government, PH is now also inhibiting the issue of the price increase of the staple food, rice.
"The sudden increase in the price of (imported) rice is due to the negligence of the person responsible for managing the rice supply sector who announced that imported rice was not controlled, causing it to rise in price and be sold at RM39 (for a 10 kilogramme per packet).
"So the cartel that stores local rice also changed the packaging and turned local rice into imported rice to be sold at a price of RM39, even though local rice is a controlled item that was sold at a price of RM24 (10 kg per packet) before now it has also increased to RM29," he said.
Thus, Sanusi urged the voters of Pulai and Simpang Jeram to save the country.
"Let's save Malaysia by voting for PN. Don't be afraid, don't worry, PN is lined with authoritative figures and full of integrity," he said.
