Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner file for divorce
SHAH ALAM - Singer Joe Jonas filed for divorce from actress Sophie Turner after four years of marriage and two children.
The Jonas Brothers singer filed to end his marriage with the “Game of Thrones” star in Florida’s Miami-Dade County Court.
Both of them posted a statement on their social media yesterday on their divorce.
“After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage.
“There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children,” they both expressed in the statement.
In 2019, the couple were married in a surprise wedding, in Las Vegas, and tied the knot in front of an Elvis Presley impersonator.
Meanwhile, the couple also have two daughters, Willa, who was born in 2020 and another daughter who was born last year and whose name has not been revealed to the public.
According to the divorce documents, Jonas is seeking joint custody of the girls and the couple has a prenuptial agreement that Jonas expects will be enforced, according to the filing.
