Six gunshot wounds to the head and body found on man killed on Jalan Hamzah Alang
KLANG - A total of six gunshot wounds were found on the head and body of a man who died in front of a shop on Jalan Hamzah Alang, Kapar, last month.
The North Klang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner S Vijaya Rao said that an initial examination revealed five gunshot wounds to the head and one to the body of the 36-year-old victim.
"The motive for the incident is still under police investigation," he said when met at the Monthly Gathering of the North Klang District Police Headquarters (IPD) here today.
Vijaya Rao said that all six suspects, aged between their 20s and 40s, who were previously detained, had been released on bail after being remanded for four days.
"One of them was charged in court under Section 43 of the Societies Act 1966 for having a tattoo on their body that is suspected to be related to secret societies," he said.
He added that all six individuals were acquaintances of the victim and knew each other.
"So, anyone who was at the scene prior to the victim's death, we have taken them in for questioning.
"We are still tracking down other individuals, but so far, there have been no arrests," he said.
According to him, there were no seizures or weapon discoveries in the case.
"A total of 10 statements have been taken, including from family members, neighbours, and close friends of the victim.
"The case is still under investigation with assistance from the Selangor police and Bukit Aman, and we hope to resolve it as soon as possible," he said.
