KUALA SELANGOR - A five-year-old girl sustained minor injuries when a man driving a Hyundai Elantra vehicle accidentally reversed into her and the front doors of a building on Eco Grandeur Road, Puncak Alam yesterday.

The 6.40pm incident resulted in the girl receiving cuts on her face.

Kuala Selangor district deputy police chief Deputy Superintendent Mohd Ambia Nordin said that preliminary investigations revealed the driver, in his 30s, was en route from his home to pick up his child from a kindergarten on Eco Grandeur Road.

"As he arrived at the scene and reversed his vehicle into the parking area, he accidentally accelerated, causing the vehicle to rapidly move backward," he explained in a statement today.

Mohd Ambia said the vehicle collided with the girl, who was walking in the area, as well as the building's door.

The girl was taken to the Al Sultan Abdullah Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Puncak Alam Hospital for treatment.
