Former deputy minister, Dr Abdullah Fadzil, passes away

IPOH - Former Deputy Defence Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Fadzil Che Wan aged 78, passed away early this morning.
He took his last breath at KPJ Tawakkal Kuala Lumpur Specialist Hospital at around 3am.
His body is expected to be laid to rest at the Islamic Cemetery of Masjid Panglima Kinta near here at 2pm this afternoon.
After retiring from politics, Abdullah Fadzil was appointed as the Regional Chief of Kinta in 2004.
During his career in government administration, he served as Deputy Minister of Defense (1995-1999), Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs (1987-1995), and Member of Parliament for Bukit Gantang (1986-2004).
He held the Badminton Association of Malaysia President (BAM) position for seven years, from 1993 to 2000.
