Auxiliary cop arrested for accidentally firing shots, injuring customers
SHAH ALAM - The police have arrested an auxiliary policeman, who is suspected of accidentally firing shots in a bank, injuring two customers and a bank employee.
According to Jasin district police chief Deputy Superintendent Ahmad Jamil Radzi, they received a report about the incident from a member of the public at 12.55pm yesterday.
"The district control centre (DCC) was informed that a police officer, assisting a prominent company, accidentally fired a shot inside a bank in Jasin.
"During the incident, a 25-year-old security guard and two women, aged 46 and 28, were present," he said.
It was also reported that the incident happened due to negligence when the suspect's finger accidentally pulled the trigger of the gun, causing it to discharge.

Meanwhile, Maybank issued a statement yesterday, assuring that such incidents will not happen again.
